New Music! War on Women – “Lone Wolves”

unnamed (28)
Baltimore’s feminist punkish rock and roll band War on Women have a new album coming out April 23rd called “Capture The Flag” and they have just released a new track off the album called “Lone Wolves” which has lyrical themes that address the gun control issue in America.
“They don’t care if you live, they don’t care if you die, it’s only ever been about control”
“Capture The Flag” will also be accompanied with the release of a college level companion workbook (!).  I guess academia went nuts over their self titled record, “War on Women” and in order to facilitate part of the conversation, War on Women decided to offer up some reading materials, which is pretty rad if you ask me.
The workbook will include a lyric sheet and song dissections, quotes, a reading list, directory of resources and some needed national support hotline numbers.  This is very poignant and powerful advocacy, especially given the political climate of the good ol’ USA.
