NEW! Endorphins Lost Stream New Track “Mercy For One”

Seattle’s powerviolence band Endorphins Lost has a new split with Canadian grindcore/hardcore act OSK (a staple of the Canadian scene, if you ask me, and no one did) which will be coming out in February of 2018 followed by a spring tour.
announces an impending split 7″ with OSK set for release in February, which will be supported by a Western US tour in March.

The tracks by Endorphins Lost on this split were recorded in March 2017 by Mike at Soundhouse Studios in Seattle, Washington, with additional vocals recorded by Dylan Ludwig at Raven Sound Studio in Prescott, Arizona, and mixed and mastered by Greg Wilkinson at Earhammer Studio in Oakland, California. The OSK tracks were recorded, mixed, and mastered by Jesse Gander at Hive Studios in Vancouver, British Columbia in the spring of 2013, so they’re a little older. straight up I’d never heard these guys, but I have heard of OSK, and the mention of this split really piqued my interest and after checking out that track, damn, consider me majorly fucking INTO it.

I like the straight up raw feel of this, and like with most powerviolence/grind acts, the songs are short, violent and fun.  But with Mercy For One, there’s a bit of a message here as well, drunk driving, suicide, jail time.  I really appreciate this and think it’s a great track.

Lyrics are as follows:

a modern man’s tradition
The end of work-week celebration
Paint the town, drink it down
A macho expectation
The night has come you never learn
Take the back roads home
Death stalks the highway late at night
With mercy for only one
Broken glass and shattered teeth
Bodies twisted beyond belief
The bodies now rest in a family plot
Mercy for the one sleeping on a cell block
Good behavior cuts your time
15 years, out in 9
Is your life worth the 4 that you traded away?
For a little white cross and a roadside display
So drink yourself away
Try to forget what life’s become
But the ghosts of darker days
Will never leave you alone
I hope the gun in your mouth reminds you
Of a little boys last gasping breathe
I hope the gun in your mouth reminds you
There’s worse things to life than death

I’m beyond psyched to check out this EP, so watch the skies for that.
