Corrosion of Conformity have a new album coming out soon and have just released a visual trip of a vidoe for “Wolf named Crow”, a track that sounds like some Wiseblood-era COC with a few updates. Bassist Mike Dean says that the track “started with a couple of riffs Pepper was sitting on for a while. We learned those and collectively came up with a bridge on the spot and it fell together naturally.”
The main riff is as thick and gritty as any CoC has put out, and Pepper Keenan snarls his vocals overtop it with the savagery of the titular wolf. The track quickly locks into a solid groove that carries throughout the entire track, with leads guitar lines sure to please almost all worshippers of the riff. The trippy animated visuals of the video are the perfect accompaniment to the heavy riffs so spark one up and hit play.
Corrosion of Conformity’s new album “No Crown No Cross” is out January 12, 2018 on Nuclear Blast Records.
