Trash/Thrash Tuesday: HEALTH – Flesh World

Oh hey there little friends.

What’s new this week?  Did you spend this past week in an existensial dark night of the soul in which you learned the phrase ‘staring into the abyss’ with deep succinct meaning?

Yeah, me too.

It’s time for a vacation.

The Drunk in a Graveyard team is going to be hitting up the Sled Island 2016 festival and you can check out my previous piece on my top 6 picks for what to do at Sled Island 2016.

One of the acts I am most excited to see this year is HEALTH the noise rock darlings with the angelic voiced frontman.  There’s nothing I love better than music that challenges boundaries and isn’t afraid to be dark.  I’m very much looking forward to this show and feel that this will be the one event that no one should miss.

So here’s a special Trash/THRASH piece in preparation for Sled Island 2016 because I’m going to be THRASHing the whole way there.

HEALTH plays at Dickens Pub Thursday June 23.

Hopefully I shall see some of my Calgary readers out at the show.

We’re here
There’s nothing else
We’re not here to find ourselves
We’re here
There’s nothing else
We’re not here to find ourselves
Follow your lust
There’s no need for forgiveness
Do what you want
Don’t hurt the ones you love
All the bones grew strong before they broke
All the blood runs hot before it’s cold
All the bones grew strong before they broke
(We die)
All the bones grew strong before they broke
(So what?)
All the blood runs hot before it’s cold
(We’re here)
All the bones grew strong before they broke
(Let go)
We’re here, there’s nothing else
We’re not here to find ourselves
In here, there’s one way out
We’re not here to find ourselves
Follow your lust
There’s no-one here to judge us
Do all the drugs
We die, so what?
We die, so what?
We’re here, let go
