Trash/Thrash Tuesday: Christian Mistress – “Pentagram and Crucifix”

Hey there tiny angel friends.  How’s your week going so far?  It’s the Tuesday before my end of classes and I go into final exam time, so if you hear about a Canadian woman who tore someone’s head off and shattered all their bones to suck the marrow out, that was probably me.  Sorry bout that in advance.  Studying does weird things to my brain worms, which barely work like 90% of the time anyways.

Maybe I shouldn’t have done all that acid?  But I mean really, if Genesis P-Orridge is to be believed, and why shouldn’t you believe he/r, we should all take more acid.  And allow me to say right now, Genesis is fucking flawless, so perhaps s/he is on to something.

Anyways, I’m on a roll with featuring dope as fuck music here for you fuckers on Tuesday, and this is one I’ve been sitting on for a while.  Christian Mistress.  What can I say about this band, beyond they fucking RULE.

This is one bummer about missing Covenant festival in Vancity last year because I’ve wanted to see this band play for forever!

A lot of people on a lot of the *~*~~*~spooky goth VVitchy*~*~*~*~*~ blogs and tumblrs (yeah that’s right.  don’t you fucking judge me), constantly remind their following that the goddess is dead, and I’m here to tell you folks..  they’re right.  Airy faerie magick glitter goddesses are dead.  We are in the age of Kali Yuga, a time of violent rebirth and chaos and the goddess that currently reigns is a dark feminine, and she reigns with a bloody, primal form of magick.  I love seeing musical acts now like Ides of Gemini, Lucifer, Chelsea Wolfe and Pharmakon bringing this magick to light, and these are acts that if you aren’t paying attention to, you definitely should be.

So let’s THRASH this week with some Christian Mistress.

Offering
Reeks of death
When the demon speaks
Feel its breath

Ritual of blood
Penetrate the womb
Poison the holy men
Shouldering their cross

I’m Leviathan restless daggers
Pushing in around his sides
Pentagram and crucifix
Mandalas put to the test

Level the head of the holy man
He’s got no right to dictate life
He’s gonna be damned with the souls of man
And bury in their strife

Writhing pain
Find the vein and attack
Sever the source of life
Won’t wait to save you

A cry in vain
Strikes right through him
He can’t begin to find the way
Pentagram and crucifix
They begin to look the same

Level the head of the holy man
He’s got no right to dictate life
He’s gonna be damned with the souls of man
And bury in their strife
