Trash/Thrash Tuesday: Chelsea Wolfe – “Carrion Flowers”

Greetings friendship.   How goes your week?  Are you currently sweating your tits/dick off in some super hot location?  That’s pretty much been the story here at DIAG headquarters.  Its been so hot up here that its just ridiculous and hard to think or really get much done.

So for all you nerds out there who got pumped for the release of AMC’s new Fear the Walking Dead trailer..  perhaps you were wondering what that dope as fuck song was in the background.  I’m here to tell you fuckers that it’s the amazingly dark and intense “Carrion Flowers” by one of my favourite musicians, Chelsea Wolfe.  I’ve featured Chelsea on here before with the track Sick Girl so if you are so inclined, please feel free to go read that fever rant.  Also, this doesn’t mean I hate the Walking Dead any less, but I do applaud that the creators or whoever had enough good sense to pick a rocking track for this new effort of their show.

This week will definitely be a THRASH piece, since Carrion Flowers is heavy as hell, and if the rest of the forthcoming ABYSS album similar, I will be a happy little spooky goth.  Chelsea is chanelling some Author and Punisher and Trent Reznor, and I’m not even mad about it.  Chelsea previously had her song Feral Love featured in the Game of Thrones trailer, so she isn’t a stranger to having her powerful songs out in the open.  I invite all you spooky know nothings (like Jon Snow) to do yourselves a favor and go support this and preorder Abyss.

For those about to get spooky on this here Tuesday, join me for a spell.  MUAHAHAHA.

WE LEARNED HOW ON OUR OWN
NEVER NEEDING HELP FROM YOU
REACHING OUT WITH EYES CLOSED
WE FELT THE LIGHT, IT TAUGHT US TO GROW
(HOLD, HOLD, HOLD ON)
CREATURES OF HABIT, CARRION FLOWERS
GROWING FROM REPEATED CRIMES
THE AFTERGLOW IN FULL BLOOM
SLOW AND RELENTLESS, WE’RE AFTER YOU
HOLD ON TO THE PAIN
OF LOVE TAKEN FROM YOU –
A PLAGUE
(HOLD, HOLD, HOLD ON)

You can find the oldblackgoat on twitter being very sweaty under a black parasol.
